SURFING AUSTRALIA HPC

The Surfing Australia High Performance Centre  HPC is probably one the world's first facility dedicated to the development of elite surfers and coaches.

The two level centre is  located at Casuarina Beach on the Nothern NSW coast equal distance between, two well known surfing meccas. Byron Bay and the Gold Coast.

The mixed use  building  features state of the art education facilities, surf specific training gym, multipurpose auditorium, admin/offices, testing and treatment rooms , sleeping accommodation for 22 including dining and lounge areas

The center has been designed in consultation with the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and has taken well over 5 years from early concept to completion.

In the early hours of the morning and late afternoons the light filters through the multicoloured polycarbonate clerestory.
